Middle-aged 20 something

I read this just now and had to reblog it for the poignant beauty of the poem but also for the courage that it took to write. Lorraine is a great and versatile poet and I know that she’s going through a hard time at the moment so, if you like her work, please pop over and tell her so, I know it would mean a lot to her. x

And so now I am alone In the eerie silence of a life gone wrong Shall I unpack my case Such as it is? All that I have is my body Wracked with pain But it is mine No one can steal it from me Like you stole my soul I sit here in the […]

Song Lyric Sunday

How did we get to the end of another week so quickly? I have no idea but here we are again and it’s time for Song Lyric Sunday, our chance to discover new music and and find new blogging friends. Brought to us by Jim Adams (do pop over and say hello, he’d love to see you), this week’s theme is River/Stream/Creek/Brook. If you’d like to play along and I do hope you will because it’s fun, here are some rules for you:

I’m So Excited!

I just can’t hide it! I’m about to lose control and I think I like it! If you’re wondering what I am babbling about and whether I’ve finally lost the plot – it’s this and I haven’t (well not yet I don’t think):

Song Lyric Sunday

Good morning and a happy Sunday to you all :O) It’s time to share our favourite tracks once again and to discover new music by connecting with other bloggers. Jim Adams brings us the prompt this week which is Ocean/Sea/Lake/Bay and, I have to say, I found it incredibly difficult. However, I eventually remembered this wonderful song by Pink Floyd and, fortunately, the lyrics only deviate from the prompt a tiny bit ;O)

In the News……

Do you watch the News on a regular basis, or read a newspaper? Perhaps you catch up on what goes on in the World via Facebook or Twitter. Personally, I try to avoid it whenever possible because News is invariably bad or intensely irritating and sometimes both; today there is a case in point.
