Innocence

Where are my wellies?

I wantΒ  splish splash

In giant puddles

Funny game

Hold my hand

Fast skip with me

Please to the swings

Higher, higher, hold tight

Touch you little birdie

Can you see me

Fly with you?

What’s for tea?

Chips and beans for me

And for afters cake

Not little piece?

I’ve been good

Today.

Sleepy now

No! Not going to bed yet

A little bit longer

To remember

Innocence

So sweet, Jasper and I walked past the local play park last night and there was a little boy playing on the slides and he just didn’t want to go home. I enjoyed having a big ride on the swings so this really resonated tonight.

I think so .. we walked past there tonight and there was an older guy swinging his way towards the sky… he was having ball. I love to see that. πŸ™‚

Yep, whatever age you are, being on a swing and flying upwards can’t help but bring a smile to your face :O) x

I love this poem………..I feel that child-like desire every day in my heart. It’s not a whole lot of fun some days to be a grown up. πŸ™‚

Oh I absolutely love this, Lisa! Childhood was so magical, wasn’t it? The days seemed to last forever and we never really worried about time. We played all day and let our imagination just go wild. This really made me think of my childhood. Beautiful, beautiful poem, my dear friend! πŸ’•β˜ΊοΈ xx
