Song Lyric Sunday: Hide

Good morning all you lovely people out there and Happy Sunday! I hope you’ve all had a good week and are ready to play along with Song Lyric Sunday. The lovely Helen came up with this brilliant idea which brings together music lovers for a lyrical orgy each and every Sunday. Why not join in with us? You’ll discover new songs and meet new bloggers so what have you got to lose :O)

Each week there is a theme and today it’s hide/hidden/hiding. Here are some rules for you and then off we go…..

  • Post the lyrics to the song of your choice, whether it fits the theme or not
  • Please try to include the songwriter(s) – it’s a good idea to give credit where credit is due and it’s honestly just a simple Google search
  • Make sure you also credit the singer/band and provide a link to where you found the lyrics
  • Link to the YouTube video, or pull it into your post so others can listen to the song
  • Ping back to this post or my own Song Lyric Sunday post
  • Read at least one other person’s blog so we can all share new and fantastic music and create amazing new blogging friends in the process

Lips are turning blue
A kiss that can’t renew
I only dream of you
My beautiful
Tiptoe to your room
A starlight in the gloom
I only dream of you
And you never knew
Sing for absolution
I will be singing
Falling from your grace
There’s nowhere left to hide
In no one to confide
The truth runs deep inside
And will never die
Lips are turning blue
A kiss that can’t renew
I only dream of you
My beautiful
Sing for absolution
I will be singing
Falling from your grace
Sing for absolution
I will be singing
Falling from your grace
Our wrongs remain unrectified
And our souls won’t be exhumed
Songwriters: Matthew James Bellamy
It was my brother who first introduced me to Muse and I immediately became a huge fan. I’m fairly sure that we should have been somewhere but instead we spent about 30 minutes sitting in his car listening to track after track as I became increasingly enamored. Their music was nothing like I had ever heard before; it was rock but it also had a classical feel and I found it enormously powerful.
Anyway, that’s my choice for this week and I really hope that you enjoy it :O)
I really look forward to hearing your choices so please share them with me.
Lisa x

I hope to join in – one day – with one of my own songs . I have about one that I remember, so it has to be a complete fluke that the song prompt fits!

I got their “best of” album two or three years ago and listened to it continuously for a year. They are simply great! Brilliant choice. Thanks for sharing!
