Quote Challenge: Final Day

So, this is my last day of the quote challenge which has really been fun so thanks again to  Nina over at The Cozy Pages.  I came across this quote when it was used in an inspirational video that was sent to me when I was really struggling just after the death of my husband. My brother emailed it to me and urged me to watch it; I can’t remember his exact words but it was along the lines of ‘you have faced the hardest thing that you have ever had to face, nothing will ever be that difficult again and, in time, you will be stronger because you didn’t give up’.

I watched the video many, many times and I want to share it with you now:

None of us will ever know how strong we can be until strong is all we can be

Accepting that we are ‘powerful beyond measure’ is impossible for most people, we have so many ingrained fears and doubts that we hide behind walls which protect us and imprison us. If we are weak, give up or don’t even try we will be in good company and everyone will say ‘don’t worry, you’re only human’, if we reach for the stars there will always be someone trying to pull us back down to earth. What if we don’t look back, what if we shake off the negativity, the fear, make ourselves completely vulnerable and open to what life has to offer? Who will stop us then?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Have a wonderful day everyone :O)

There are so many inspirational posts in this blogger world but I must say some are outstanding. This is that post. Very well articulated, again.
